Excellence in Marketing.
The Vision - by preserving and marketing the natural resources, scenic qualities, cultural sites and landscapes, U.S. Highway 68 will become a quality nostalgia, education, leisure and recreation tourism enhancement destination. The Goal- to create a greater awareness of U.S. Highway 68 by:
promoting the preservation of natural and scenic resources
encouraging the interpretation of historic resources
developing an awareness of the rich cultural heritage that exists along this historic route
addressing important safety issues
stimulating heritage tourism as an economic resource
The 400 Mile Sale is an annual event held all along Hwy 68. The event was created to celebrate the unique downtowns and communities all along this historic highway by having a 400 mile sale of "Antiques, Collectibles & Stuff".
